Belleville, Illinois
The congregation of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Belleville, Illinois was originally housed in a Gothic structure that was completed in 1883. In 1991, the congregation built a new church building and parish hall. This new structure is home to the 1998 Buzard Opus 19 organ that may be viewed elsewhere on this site.

The original church building was retained as a chapel and is regularly used for small services. In 1938, the Wicks Organ Company of Highland, Illinois installed their Opus 1774, an eight-rank instrument, in this space. Consolidated Pipe Organ Builders added a further five ranks to this instrument in 1976.
In 2025, St. George’s contracted with us to renovate the aging console, thereby improving reliability of the instrument for regular use. Our work includes:
-Cleaning the console structure.
-Installation of new keyboards.
-Rebuilding the pedalboard.
-Installation of a new solid state relay.
This project was completed in Autumn of 2025.
