1977 Casavant Frères opus 3340
The First Presbyterian Church of Ferguson, Missouri was the original home of the Casavant Frères opus 3340, originally constructed in 1977. Recently, the congregation decided to move in a different direction with their worship and put their instrument up for sale. Salem Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin purchased the organ. In June of 2023, we undertook the deconstruction and careful packing of the Casavant and brought it to our workshop in Champaign for safekeeping. Once renovations to the balcony were made to accomodate it, we shipped the organ to Salem Church, erected the case, planted pipes, and brought its voices to life in its new home. The organ was dedicated in a recital on 13 October 2024.
