St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology

Meinrad, Indiana

1980 Gabriel Kney, opus 93

The Thomas Aquinas Chapel at the St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology is the third home of the 1980 Gabriel Kney opus 93. Previously, it was located in the First Community Church in Dallas, Texas. While there, it was in the charge of the Schudi Organ Company who updated the combination action. In 2022, the First Community Church decided to sell their building and put the organ up for sale. After it was purchased by the Seminary, The Organ Clearing House packed up the instrument and relocated it to St. Meinrad, Indiana. On its arrival, the mixtures, cornet, and krummhorn were taken back to our shop for some regulation. New toe pistons, a new adjustable bench, and a full organ indicator light were also added.

Across the grounds from the Seminary and School of Theology is the Archabbey church, which is home to the 1997 Goulding and Wood, Opus 30 organ.
