Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockford, Illinois is proud to have a fine Casavant pipe organ. It has faithfully served the congregation for decades. The time had come, however, for a full renovation of the console and switching system of the instrument. As part of this update, the pneumatic-assisted stop action has been replaced with a modern solid-state system. Our master console technician, Stuart Weber was in charge of this important project, under the supervision of our Service Director and with the able assistance of Tracey Mitchell and John Wiegand.
In 2024, the Buzard service team returned to Trinity to undertake a comprehensive cleaning of the instrument. All pipes and chambers were cleaned of dust and grit. Degrading felt on expression shades was replaced. Expression shade pneumatics were removed and releathered. This gave us opportunity to troubleshoot note actions in the chest. Now, the instrument sings with its whole voice yet again!
