Holy Cross Lutheran Church,

Collinsville, Illinois

1.  The console was completely rebuilt, retaining the existing stoprail and combination action. All new stop tablets were supplied to reflect the modified specification. New manual keyboards, with plastic natural and sharp keytops, and a new pedalboard, with maple natural and plastic sharp keytops, and thumb pistons, were supplied, finished to match the console shell..  The existing console shell was cleaned and refinished.  A new, manually adjustable organ bench, finished to match the console shell, was provided. A new knee panel was constructed, installed, and finished to match the console shell.   All new wiring was installed within the console, connected to a new pinboard junction.  A new lighted music rack was installed.

2.  The existing Peterson multiplex relay was altered and new components supplied as necessary to reflect the modified specification.    All new cabling was installed from the console to the relay and from the relay to the windchests.

3.  All existing pipework was cleaned, stoppers repacked as necessary, slide tuners checked for proper fit, and any necessary repairs performed.  Existing pipework was regulated to its best advantage, so that all ranks blend with each other as well as possible.  New pipework (as listed in the specification below) was custom scaled, built and voiced to harmonize with and enhance the existing pipework.

4.  All reservoirs were releathered. All windchest and wind trunk gaskets were renewed.  The Swell Tremolo was refurbished.

5.  The existing windchests was modified as necessary for the changes in specification.  New, European-style racking was constructed and installed for the new 8’ Oboe and new 16’ Fagott/8’ Trumpet.

6.  New shutter frames and shutters were constructed and installed in the former Great chamber opening.  New electric action expression engines were installed for these new shutters, and for the existing Swell shutters as well.

7. All pipework was finish voiced and tuned on site.
